Website terms of use
Draft: not yet reviewed. Do not rely on this page until it has been approved.
These terms apply when you use the SponsorTee website. Please read them before you use the site.
Who runs the site
SponsorTee is run by [TRADING NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. You can contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
SponsorTee gives fundraisers a page where a shirt shows sponsor spots, and lets local businesses claim a spot. A fundraiser is called the rider in these terms. A business that claims a spot is called the sponsor.
Donations
On a donation-only challenge, SponsorTee does not receive, hold or pass on any donation. A sponsor gives its donation directly to the charity through the charity's fundraising page. Any fee shown on a challenge page is a separate payment for printing, and is only taken where the rider has switched it on.
Acceptable use
You must not use the site, or upload any logo or other content, that:
- is unlawful, misleading or discriminatory;
- promotes gambling, or alcohol aimed at people under 18;
- is political campaigning, unless the rider has agreed to it.
We may remove any content or spot that breaks these rules, and may stop access to the site for anyone who repeatedly does so.
Warranties and liability
We will provide the site with reasonable care and skill. We cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that English law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, for donations that were made directly to a charity, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you claim a spot or set up a challenge is the one that applies to that claim or challenge.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law allows a case to be brought elsewhere.
